Doughnuts from the Alfa Bakehouse

The other day O and I had an uncontrollable craving for jam doughnuts.

Ok, I had the doughnut obsession and talked about it for long enough that I manage to get O fixated on them too.

We went to the Alfa Bakehouse in Yarraville. I bit into it and sticky gooey red jam spilled out everywhere. I looked like a cocaine addict caught red-handed at a murder scene - blood red jam on my hands and sugary snowflakes all over my nose.Alfa Bakery doughnuts

Actually, I can feel the craving coming back! Uh-oh… I think I’m getting a little too compulsive about those doughnuts.

Having a few friends who live in Yarraville, I’m very familiar with the Alpha Bakehouse - and I agree, their jam donuts are sinfully good…Hrm, which reminds me, I haven’t been there in a few weeks *plot plot plot*

Alpha bakehouse, what a great operation. I own several restaurants in melbourne and had been recommended by a genuis friend and ex colleague of mine. Superb coffee and pastries…many thanks to Olga…..it must run in the family! The Greeks prove themselves once again. Quality. Paul and ange

Ahhh Alfa, what a delight, a pleasure. I and my colleagues have been regulars now for 6 months, not a day goes by without a Alfa wrapper or two and a few discarded cups ending up in our kitchen bins.
Great characters behind the counter, great food on a consistent basis and a busy friendly athmosphere any time of the day.
A shame that one of their brightest front line stars is leaving.
    Keep up the good work.
