I gnaw on the flesh, not minding the juices as they run down my forearm. The delight in cleansing it's taste off my skin. Ah, the total sensory pleasure of a fully ripe mango. Even as I stare out the window at a colorless winter, the beauty of a bright reddish orange mango sticks in my mind. Yum. Thanks for the memory jolt! The photos are of a particular high quality. I find this chutney recipe very tempting, though I have been eyeing the very sad looking mangoes in Tesco, which are not looking very ripe or juicy at the moment. Oranges, pears and winter vegetables are in season at the moment, but due to the power of British consumer demand, bananas are always available in the shops.
